Errors and Countermeasures

The four main causes of problems that may occur in the ID Flag Sensor are as follows:
• Noise interference· · · · · · · · · · · · · Take adequate countermeasures against noise.
• External device failure
· · · · · · Repairs are required.
• ID Flag Sensor failure
• Others
Noise Interference
If the system malfunctions due to noise, refer to the following table and take appropriate countermea-
sures.
No.
Occurrence of fault
Occurs when a heavy-duty motor,
1
transformer, or capacitor is turned ON.
2
Occurs irregularly.
Malfunction such as input signal turn-
3
ing ON when it should be OFF.

Power
supply
Noise filter
Possible cause
An instantaneous voltage drop due to
inrush current to the heavy load.
Common mode noise as a result of the
above cause.
Noise on power line
Inductive noise on input line
Other

device
Ground at a
resistance less
than 100 Ω.
ID Flag Sensor
Twist the wires and do
not lay them out
parallel to power lines.

Troubleshooting
Countermeasure
Increase the capacity of the power
supply and the size of the power cable.
• Provide the power through a 1-to-1
non-grounded insulating transformer.
• Do not use the same ground as other
large-capacity devices. Indepen-
dently ground the Controller at a
resistance of 100 Ω or less. (See
figure1.)
Provide the power through a 1-to-1
non-grounded insulating transformer or
noise filter. (See figure 2.)
• Separate input signal from power
lines.
• If there is a lot of noise interference,
put the input line inside a grounded
metal conduit or use shielded cable.
