Getting Started

Logging in to the Voicemail System and Setting up Your Phone

To log in and assign your extension to your phone:
1. Press the Voicemail button.
2. Enter the extension number assigned to you by your system administrator.
3. Enter the password provided by your ShoreTel Connect administrator or authorized contact and
press #.
4. If prompted, enter a new password followed by #.
Tip
Your password must be at least six numbers in length.
5. If prompted, to confirm your new password enter it again and press #.
6. When prompted, record your name and press #, and then choose one of the following options:
7. To assign your extension to this phone, press 7 for Mailbox Options.
8. Press 3 to reassign your extension.
9. Press 1 to assign your extension to the phone.
Your extension is now assigned to your phone, and your phone displays your name and extension.

Changing Your Phone's Time Zone

If the default time zone setting for your phone differs from your location's time zone, you can change
your phone's time zone so that it displays the time for your location.
1. Press the navigation selector button.
2. At the VM password prompt, enter your voicemail password followed by #.
The phone's current time zone is displayed.
3. Press the navigation selector button.
After a brief display of key pad shortcuts (* for Cancel and # for OK), a list of time zones is
displayed in edit mode; the current time zone setting is highlighted and includes a check mark.

To accept the recording, press #.
To review the recording, press 1.
To record your name again, press 2.
To cancel the recording, press *.
