7.1.3 OAM Diag

Use this screen to run Virtual Cable Test (VCT) diagnostics. Check the cable status. The results can
be normal, short circuit, or open circuit.

7.2 Access Control

Enter the Logins page then click on SNMP to configure the SNMP protocol. Click on Logins to add
administrators for the Switch.
Chapter 7 Management
DESCRIPTION
When the Switch start up, it will run the secondary host software. This number is the
software version on the Switch and it will change once you upgrade/downgrade it.
Select Restart to restart the system directly.
Select Restart With Factory Defaults to restore the system to its default factory
settings.
Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these
changes if it is turned off or loses power.
DESCRIPTION
Enter a port number that you want to run the virtual cable test.
Click Detect to run the virtual cable test.
This field displays the network cable sequence.
When this field displays NORMAL, It means the status is normal.
When this field displays SHORT, It means the status is short circuit.
When this field displays OPEN, It means the status is open circuit.
This field detects the distance of the error lacations. The maximum detecting distance
of 100M port is 181 meters, and GE port is 175 meters.
