Specifying Output Settings
At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button, then touch the Tools tab.

Touch Device Settings.
Touch Output.

Make the desired changes to the features, then touch OK.

Contention Management: This option prioritizes copy and print jobs.
Priority: This option specifies the relative priority of the copy or print jobs. The lower the

number, the higher the priority.
First In/First Out: This option schedules jobs to print based on their entry into the Job
•
Queue.
Output Location: This option specifies the output location for jobs when a finisher is not

available.
Within Job Offsetting: This option instructs the printer to separate print sets within an overall
−
job. If you select Disable, the printer stacks all printed sets together.
Staple Productivity Mode: This option specifies where the printer applies staples to a print job.

Out of Staples Options: This option specifies how the printer handles a print job that requires
staples when the printer has run out of staples.
Note:
Not all options listed are supported on all printers. Some options apply only to a specific
printer model, configuration, operating system, or driver type. Some options are available only if a
finisher is installed.
