Customizing Media

Starting at the top of the Media Options screen and below the General sec-
tion, you can finesse the following options:
✓ Close Media Player When Inactive: The default is Off, but you can set
this option to 5, 10, 20, 30, or 45 minutes. This option can save battery
life if you get distracted and leave your Storm on a table playing your
favorite video.
✓ Set Convenience Keys: Change the settings for the right and left con-
venience keys, which are shortcut keys to an application. The right
convenience key defaults to launching the Camera app, and the left con-
venience key defaults to launching Voice Dialing.
Going down the Media Options screen, under the Playback section, you can
customize the following options:
✓ Headset Equalizer: The default is Off, but if you want a different audio
setting, you have several options: Bass Boost, Bass Lower, Dance, Hip
Hop, Jazz, Lounge, Loud, R&B, Rock, Treble Boost, Treble Lower, and
Vocal Boost.
✓ Audio Boost: You can set this option On or Off.
✓ Turn Off Auto Backlighting: Your Storm includes a backlight feature,
which provides additional screen lighting. The backlight turns on when
you move the Storm from shade to direct sunlight. When backlighting
keeps bothering you when you're watching a movie, this is the place to
toggle it off.
