Selecting the Picture Mode According to the
Shooting Scene (Picture Mode)
You can select the Picture mode according to the shooting scene.
There are 12 available modes in Picture mode.

Night Scene Lets you take dark scenes such as night views.

Lets you capture the bright colors of landscape views
by emphasizing the contours and saturation of green
trees, blue sky, etc.
Lets you take bright, vivid pictures of the sea, lakes or
snow-covered landscapes in bright sunshine. (Views
are vividly reproduced by slightly increasing the
contrast.)
Lets you reproduce the beautiful colors of the sunrise
or sunset. (Brilliant hues are captured by adjusting the
exposure to create a slightly dark, twilight atmosphere
and increasing the saturation a little.)
Lets you capture the vivid colors of flowers. The
brightness of the image is maintained while the
background is moderately blurred.
Lets you take colorful pictures of trees in autumn.
Lets you take appetizing pictures of prepared food.
Lets you take portrait shots in natural tones. (Natural
skin tone is captured by reducing the contrast.)
Lets you take pictures of yourself or include yourself in
pictures. (The focus is regulated to take into account
the shooting distance (arm's length).)
Lets you take sharp pictures of a quickly moving
subject, such as at a sporting event.
Lets you capture evening or night views or take
pictures of people against a nightscape. (The camera
features a max. slow shutter speed of four seconds
and has slow synchronization and noise reduction
functions.)
Lets you take bright photos of fireworks.
