Letting the Camera Set the Exposure
(Program Mode)
In R (Program mode), the camera automatically sets the shutter speed
and aperture for taking still pictures. However, you can select other
functions such as the Flash mode or Continuous Shooting mode.

Set the mode dial to R.

Set the functions you want to use.
Refer to "Setting the Shooting Functions"
(pp.84 - 106) for details of how to set the
functions.

Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The focus frame turns green if the subject is
in focus.
When the subject is in focus, the aperture and shutter speed appear.

Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.
The front lever can be used to adjust the exposure. (1p.59)
