Installing the Module

Options
The DP/AS-i Link 20E module has type of protection IP 20.
S You can install the DP/AS-i Link 20E module on a normal standard rail
(complying with EN 50022).
S As an option, you can also install the module on a wall directly using the
mounting holes in the casing.
Installation on a Standard Rail
If you decide to install a module on a standard rail, please note the following
points:
1. The module is placed on the standard rail from above and then pushed down
until the catch at the bottom of the module locks into position.
2. Other modules can be installed to the left and right of the module.
Removing the Module from the Standard Rail
To remove the module from the standard rail, follow the procedure below:
1. When removing the module from the standard rail, the power supply and signal
cables must be removed first.
2. After the cables have been disconnected, press the catch on the module down
using a screwdriver and pull the module out of the rail towards the top.
Convection
Make sure that you leave at least 5 cm clearance above and below the module to
allow heat dissipation.
Vertical Installation
The standard rail can also be installed vertically. Due to the reduced convection,
the maximum permitted ambient temperature is reduced to 45°C.
Fit a grounding clip to the standard rail below the DP/AS-i Link 20E to prevent it
slipping down on the standard rail.
