Installing the L-Bracket
The transmission and reception of wireless signals is improved by positioning the unit to reorient the
301W's wireless signal towards other transmitters in the mesh network.
Refer to 301W Installation Manual for detailed instructions on both the signal direction and mounting
height.
The L-Bracket Mounting Kit is required to properly orient the 301W and is installed by following these
6 steps in sequence:
1. Drill two 3/8" diameter holes with 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" hole depth placed at 3-1/2" center to center
vertically.
2. Insert cement anchors into the hole with threaded end facing outward.
3. Using a hammer, set the cement anchors in place using the cement drop-in anchor tool provided
with the kit.
4. Fasten the L-Bracket to wall with 1/4-20 x 3/4" long screws, torque 20-40 in lbs.
5. Remove the 301W transmitter cover.
6. Install the 301W transmitter body to L-Bracket with jam nut on the outside.
7. Reinstall the 301W transmitter cover.
