If the length of the retraction tank (Li) is more than 1 m, install at least one reinforcement rib
to prevent damage of the tank and vessel by sea accident. One reinforcement rib should be
installed toward the ship's bow (see the figure below). It is recommended that four
reinforcement ribs are installed.
•
For the reinforcement ribs, fit doubling plates to the location where the reinforcement ribs
are welded to the bulkhead of the vessel (see the figure below).
