Storing Names and Numbers in the Phonebook

Make sure that the unit is in the standby mode.
1. Z Y or V.
2. Select 'New Phonebook'.
3. Z Y or V.
• The display shows the number of remaining phonebook items,
then '<Enter Name>'.
4. Enter a name (up to 16 characters) with the dialling buttons, T
or V.
See steps for entering names and symbols (page 21).
5. Name confirmed Z U.
6. Enter phone number (up to 24 digits).
7. Number confirmed, Z Y.
8. Z U or S to select Private Category number (1-9) or OFF.
9. Z Y or V.
10. Select 'Save'.
11. Z Y or V.
• A beep sounds and 'Saved' is displayed.
• The display shows the number of remaining phonebook items,
then '<Enter Name>'. You can continue storing other items.
• To return to the standby mode, Z P.
• If a pause is required for dialling,Z X. If a pause is inserted
while entering a phone number, the pause counts as one digit.
• If the display shows 'Memory Full' in step 3, the display will
return to the standby mode. To store, clear other stored items in
the phonebook (pages 23-24).
• You can exit the programming mode at any time by pressing P.
