7. Tighten the 4 adjustment bolts
8. Ensure that the blocks fit snugly under the deck skirt
and that all bolts are tight.
9. Verify that the deck is level by checking the side-to-side
level and front-to-rear blade slope; repeat the deck
leveling procedure if necessary.

Inspecting the Belts

Service Interval: Every 50 hours
Check the belts for squealing when the belt is rotating, blades
slipping when cutting grass, frayed belt edges, burn marks and
cracks are signs of a worn mower belt. Replace the mower
belt if any of these conditions are evident.

Replacing the Mower Belt

Squealing when the belt is rotating, blades slipping when
cutting grass, frayed belt edges, burn marks, and cracks are
signs of a worn mower belt. Replace the mower belt if any of
these conditions are evident.
1. Disengage the blade-control switch (PTO), move the
motion-control levers to the N
and set the parking brake.
2. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
3. Lower the mower to the 76 mm (3 inch) height-of-cut
position.
4. For each of the belt covers, loosen the 2 bolts, but do
not remove them.
5. Slide the cover until it is clear of the bolts and lift it
up and out to remove it.
6. Remove the floor pan to access the idler pulley.
7. Using a spring removal tool, (Toro Part No. 92-5771),
remove the idler spring from the deck post to remove
65).

8. Lower the mower to the lowest height of cut and place
the height-of-cut pin in the lock position for the lowest
height-of-cut.
9. Remove the belt from the mower-deck pulleys and
remove the existing belt.
10. Install the new belt around the mower pulleys and the
clutch pulley under the engine
