This chapter provides the following initial configuration
information that is pertinent to both layer 2 and layer 3 modules:

To complete initial switch setup, you need a PC or video terminal
with a connection to the serial port on the supervisor module.
Refer to Table 3-1 for the required terminal settings to
communicate with the switch.
