Grouping of the different families of stops in the three organ sections is proportional to their
importance and to the role they are asked to play in order to perform music from the vast organ
literature. A detailed examination of these divisions follows:

The stops belonging to this family are the foundation of any traditionally-voiced organ.
The structure of the Mixtures relates to the different pitch foundation of the three sections.
As far as the use of this family of stops is concerned, it must be pointed out that their clean and neutral
sound blends perfectly with the human voice; therefore they offer a suitable accompaniment to both
chorus and solo voices.
In traditional organ literature, the ensemble of Principals and Mixtures creates the characteristic
sound of "Organo Pleno". Manual couplers and Pedal couplers may be added to reinforce and blend
the ensemble.
The stops belonging to the Principal family offer possibilities for dialogues between manuals.

The Sesquialtera II (2
Never to be used alone, it must always be supported by adequate foundation or flute stops, as shown
in the following examples:

2)
Principale 8' + Ottava 4' + Sesquialtera
3)
