Functional description

Washers-disinfectors with a steam
condenser with heat recovery
(DK+WRG) are identified with this
symbol.
The variant Steam condenser with heat
recovery (DK+WRG) may be used only
with a built-in boiler.
In this variant, the steam condenser is
connected to the AD water and not to
the cold water supply. The AD water
used as cooling medium flows through
the steam condenser, where it is
preheated, into the boiler of the
washer-disinfector.
Thus, heating the boiler water requires
less energy. Compared to a connection
of the steam condenser to the fresh
water supply, this variant also reduces
the overall water consumption.
Due to the modified water conduits in
the washer-disinfector, the water inlet
times increase in purge blocks using
warm AD water.

Intended application

Washers-disinfectors with Steam
condenser with heat recovery
(DK+WRG) may be only used in
medical applications.
For optimum utilization of the heat
recovery system, operate the
washer-disinfector without extended
standstill times.

After extended standstill times
such as weekends, start the
BOILER
utility before starting
operation.
For hygienic reasons, the AD water
from the steam condenser and the
boiler is replaced by fresh, cold AD
water.

warnings apply in addition to those

Operating Instructions!

Ophthalmological instruments must
not be treated in washers-disinfectors
with the Steam condenser with heat
recovery (DK+WRG) option!

When using the heat recovery
function, do not lower the boiler
temperature of 90 °C. For sensitive
wash ware such as optical instruments
for example, select a process without
thermal shocks. For instance, use warm
water in the last purge block before the
thermal disinfection.

In the case of very delicate wash
ware, please verify whether it is suited
for the treatment in a process with
potential changes in temperature.
Please follow the instructions provided
by the manufacturers of the wash ware
and the instruments.
