2.3 Configuring Traffic Policing Based on a Traffic
Classifier
This section describes how to configure QoS CAR based on a traffic classifier for user service
traffic.

2.3.1 Establishing the Configuration Task

2.3.2 Configuring Complex Traffic Classification
2.3.3 Configuring a Traffic Policing Action
2.3.4 Creating a Traffic Policy
2.3.5 Applying the Traffic Policy
2.3.6 Checking the Configuration
2.3.1 Establishing the Configuration Task
Applicable Environment
If the traffic sent by users is not limited, a large amount of increasing burst service data makes
a network congested. To make full use of network resources and provide better services for more
users, you must limit user service traffic.

NOTE
After a QoS CAR template is applied in a VLAN, the S9300 implements QoS CAR for only
the incoming traffic in the VLAN.
If broadcast is specified, the S9300 implements QoS CAR only for the incoming broadcast
l
traffic in the VLAN.
If multicast is specified, the S9300 implements QoS CAR for only the incoming multicast
l
traffic in the VLAN.
If unknown is specified, the S9300 implements QoS CAR for only the incoming unicast
l
traffic with the unknown MAC address in the VLAN.
If share is specified, the S9300 implements QoS CAR for all the incoming traffic for which
l
a QoS CAR template is bound to the VLAN.
Run the display qos car { all | car- name } command to check the configuration of QoS
CAR.
