Main features

s Slide switch operation for ease of use
and fast response.
s Supports two types of memory: Built-in
memory and SD card.
s Three Programmable smart buttons F1,
F2 and F3 (☞ P.44).
s Hold function for preventing accidental
operation.
s Multi-color LED indicating various
recorder statuses.
s Recording in Digital Speech Standard
Pro (DS2 format).
s Two recording modes, [QP] (Quality
Playback) mode or [SP] (Standard
Playback) mode (☞ P.37).
s Data encryption function for securing
recordings on the device.
It is possible to set the Encryption level to [High]
(256 bit), [Standard] (128 bit) or [No] (deactivates
the function).
s Ni-MH rechargeable batteries can be
charged via USB cable or AC adapter.
s This recorder is compatible with USB
2.0, enabling fast data transfer to a
computer.
s Five folders and up to 200 files per
folder, for a maximum of 1,000
recordings (☞ P.20).
When using ODMS (Olympus Dictation
Management System) software, it is possible
to create up to seven folders (max. 1,400 files)
(☞ P.44, P.46).
s Large LCD screen with backlight.
s Device Lock function to prevent
unauthorized access to device
(☞ P.31, P.44).
Authentication system via password.
s Index mark function which is useful to
search particular points in the dictation
files (☞ P.34).
s Verbal comment function which allows
transcriptionists to instantly search and
playback instructions on their computer

s Priority Setting (☞ P.37).
You can set a priority level on each file recorded.
s ODMS (Olympus Dictation Management
System) and DSS Player (DSS Player for

It is possible to customize the recorder in a
