Connect to Wi-Fi Direct Devices
1. From a Home screen, tap
Apps g
2. Locate the Wi-Fi field and tap OFF/ON to turn Wi‑Fi on. (Wi‑Fi must be enabled to use Wi‑Fi Direct.)
3. Enable Wi‑Fi Direct on the target device. Consult the target device's documentation for more information.
4. On your tablet, tap Wi-Fi Direct to scan for the other device.
5. In the scanned list, select the target device to connect with it, or tap Multi-connect to connect to multiple
devices (not all devices support multi‑connect).
6. Follow the prompts on both devices to complete the connection.

Bluetooth

About Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a short‑range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly to a number of
Bluetooth devices, such as headsets and hands‑free car kits, and Bluetooth‑enabled handhelds, computers,
printers, and wireless devices. The Bluetooth communication range is usually up to approximately 30 feet.
Turn Bluetooth On or Off
1. From a Home screen, tap
Apps g
2. Locate the Bluetooth field and tap OFF/ON to turn Bluetooth on or off.
Tip: You can also quickly turn Bluetooth on or off using Quick Settings. From a Home screen, slide your finger
downward to display the Notification Panel. Tap the Bluetooth button to turn Bluetooth on (green) or
off (gray).
Note: Due to different specifications and features of other Bluetooth-compatible devices, display and
operations may be different, and functions such as transfer or exchange may not be possible with all
Bluetooth-compatible devices.
Pair with a Bluetooth Device
Pairing initiates a connection between your tablet and the target device, usually by using a passcode or PIN. After
pairing, your tablet and the target device recognize each other and exchange information without having to enter a
passcode or PIN.
1. From a Home screen, tap

2. Locate the Bluetooth field and tap OFF/ON to turn Bluetooth on.
3. Make sure that the target device is discoverable, so that your tablet can find it. Refer to the target device's
documentation for more information.
4. Tap Scan. Your tablet will start to scan for Bluetooth devices within range.
5. From the list of scanned devices, touch the target device and follow the prompts to complete the pairing:
● If the target device requires a PIN, enter a PIN for the target device and tap OK. When prompted, enter the
PIN on the target device.
● If the device allows automatic or smart pairing, your device will attempt to pair with the device
automatically. Follow the prompts on your tablet and the target device to complete the pairing.
Note: The pairing and connection status is displayed below the target device in the Bluetooth devices section.

The following icon show your Bluetooth connection status at a glance:

Reconnect to a Bluetooth Device
1. From the active Bluetooth screen, make sure that the target device is discoverable.
2. Touch the target device's name in the Bluetooth devices section.
3. If prompted to enter a passcode, try 0000 or 1234, or consult the target device's documentation.
Disconnect or Unpair from a Bluetooth Device
To disconnect from a Bluetooth device:
You can disconnect your tablet from a Bluetooth device, such as a headset. Disconnecting does not unpair the
Bluetooth device—the next time you connect, your tablet and the target device will recognize each other and
exchange information without having to enter a passcode or PIN.
► From the active Bluetooth screen, tap the connected device, and then select OK to disconnect.
To unpair from a Bluetooth device:
You can make your tablet forget its pairing connection with another Bluetooth device. To connect to the other
device again, you may need to enter or confirm a passcode again.

Bluetooth Settings
When Bluetooth is on, additional settings are available.
1. From the active Bluetooth screen, tap your tablet's name to enable or disable visibility to other Bluetooth
devices. When your tablet is visible, other devices can find your tablet during a scan. Your tablet remains
visible for the period of time set in the Visibility timeout setting.
2. Tap
beside a paired device for options:
● Rename: Enter a new name for the paired device.
● Unpair: Delete the Bluetooth connection to this device. To connect to the other device again, you may need
to enter or confirm a passcode again.
3. Tap
Menu for options:
● Visibility timeout: set the length of time your tablet is visible to other devices when you turn on visibility.
● Received files: View files transferred to your tablet via Bluetooth.
● Rename device: Allows you to rename the default Bluetooth name of the device.
● Help: Learn about Bluetooth, and other settings.
