Upgrading the Wireless Access Point Firmware
The software of the NETGEAR Wireless-N Access Point is stored in FLASH memory, and can be
upgraded as new software is released by NETGEAR. Firmware upgrade files can be downloaded
manually from the NETGEAR Web site. The upgrade file can then be sent using your browser as
shown in the following steps.
Note: The Web browser used to upload new firmware into the NETGEAR Wireless-N
Access Point must support HTTP uploads, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
or later, or Mozilla Firefox.1.5 or later.
To upgrade the firmware:
1. Go to the NETGEAR web site at
new versions of the WN802T v2 access point software.
2. Download the new software file for your WN802T v2 access point.
3. From the Maintenance menu of the browser interface, click Upgrade. The Firmware
Upgrade screen displays as follows:

4. Click Browse and go to the location of the downloaded file.
5. Click Apply.
