External Dust Extraction (see figure H)
For dust extraction with a vacuum cleaner, the
adapter box 24 (accessory), which is inserted
into the dust extraction 14 instead of the dust
box 9, is required.
For removal of the dust box 9, push the two un-
locking buttons 11 and pull the dust box down-
ward out of the dust extraction 14.
Insert the adapter box 24 from below into the
dust extraction until it can be heard to engage.
Place a vacuum hose 26 (accessory) onto the vac-
uum connection 25. Connect the vacuum hose 26
with a vacuum cleaner (accessory). An overview
for the connection of various vacuum cleaners
can be found at the end of these instructions.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the
material being worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially det-
rimental to health or carcinogenic, use a special
vacuum cleaner.
Adjusting the Drilling Depth (see figure I)
The required drilling depth X can be set with the
depth stop 27.
Insert the SDS-plus drilling tool to the stop into
the SDS-plus tool holder 1. Otherwise, the mov-
ability of the SDS-plus drilling tool can lead to
incorrect adjustment of the drilling depth.
Without switching the power tool on, apply it
firmly to the drilling location. The SDS-plus drill-
ing tool must face against the surface.
Push the button for depth stop adjustment 16
and adjust the depth stop 27 so that the clear-
ance X in the figure corresponds with your re-
quested drilling depth.
Adapting the Dust Extraction to the Tool
Length (see figure J)
For more convenient working with short drilling
tools, the length of the dust extraction 14 can be
adapted.
Push and hold button 13 and slide the telescopic
guide 15 into the dust extraction 14 until the dust
collector is close to the tip of the drilling tool.
To draw out the telescopic guide, push button
13 again.

Dust Collector for Drill Bits (see figure K)
To change the dust collector 17, push the re-
lease button 28 and pull the dust collector out
of the dust extraction.
To insert the dust collector 17, push it from
above into the dust extraction 14 until it can be
heard to engage.
Dust Collector for Core Bits (Accessory)
(see figure L)
For drilling with core bits, the dust collector for
drill bits 17 must be replaced against a special
dust collector for core bits 29 (accessory).
When using the dust collector for core bits, the
adapter box 24 (accessory) must be used for
dust extraction, not the dust box 9.
If required, remove the dust collector for drill
bits 17.
To insert the dust collector for core bits 29,
push it from above into the dust extraction until
it can be heard to engage.
For removal of the dust collector for core bits
29, push the latching projection 30 outward and
pull off the dust collector upward.
Operation
Starting Operation
Observe correct mains voltage! The voltage
of the power source must agree with the
voltage specified on the nameplate of the
machine. Power tools marked with 230 V
can also be operated with 220 V.
Setting the Operating Mode
With the selector switch for drilling/hammer
drilling 4, the operating mode of the machine is
selected.
Note: Change the operating mode only when the
machine is switched off! Otherwise, the ma-
chine can be damaged.
