a If the menu is currently displayed, press MENU
first so that the menu disappears.
0 You can change the brightness of the flash with
WASH LEVEL] in the menu settings
(page 112).
* When using the Auto or % (Forced flash)
mode, you may notice some noise in the
image when you look at the LCD screen in a
dark place. but this will have no effect on the
shot image.
* While charging the flash, the $/GIG lamp

lamp goes out.

down while the flash is strobing, the f /CHG
lamp turns on.

a conversion lens (not supplied) may
block the light from the built-in flash or cause
the lens shadow to appear.

the same time.
e When using a commercially available external
flash, set [HOT SHOE] to [ON] in the SET UP
settings
(MVC-CD400
only).
* Two types of external flash can be used: the
optional HVL-FlOOO flash and commercially
availat@ flashes that support hot shoe
(page 84).
* You cam101 use the external flash HVL-FlOOO
(optional) and the built-in flash at the same
time.
