Symptom
The first-stage CS-104 unit will
not take Hot Key commands.
Pressing the Hot Keys get no
response.
Mouse is not responding or be-
ing detected
The CS-104 does not work
properly.
Possible Causes
Incorrect DIP switch
settings .
The CS-104 is oper-
ating in either Auto-
STATUS LEDs for a
Scan or Previous/
Next mode.
Hot Key Commands.
The selected port Manually change the
connects to a
"power-off" com-
puter
Improper keyboard Unplug the keyboard,
reset
Improper CS-104 Turn off all CS-104s,
reset
Incorrectly pressing key at a time. CTRL,
hot keys
AT (Serial Mouse) Both Serial and PS/2

puters being used
with CS-104
If using NT system
and Serial Number selected at startup for
begins with a letter
D, C, B or A.
The CS-104 can not
get enough power
from the CPUs
What to do
Set the first-stage
CS-104 DIP switch
#4 to ON. Turn all
other CS-104s'
switches OFF.
Check the PORT
flash pattern.
Or
Press the space bar
to exit these modes
before giving
port selection, using
the SELECT BUT-
TON(S), to a com-
puter in the "power-
on" state.
then reconnect the
keyboard.
wait for 5 seconds,
and turn them on.
Try presing a single
ALT, SHIFT, (Port
Number) then EN-
TER.
mice must be used if
using AT and PS/2
style computers.
NT System must be
NT to detect the
mouse (Port light lit
while NT loading).
Add a DC 9V power
adaptor to the
