2. When the protection function worked to turn
off the power:
The FL display of this unit displays the data of
protection function which worked at that time then the
main menu (sub-menu "1. ANALOG BYPAS" of main
menu 1 BYPASS) a few seconds later.
Note: When you reactivate the self-diagnostic function
after turning off the power once by pressing
the " " (Power) key, "NO PROTECT" will be
displayed because that situation is equal to
"1. When the power is turned off by usual
operation:" described above.
However the protection function history is stored
in a back-up IC with a backup. For details, refer
to main menu 21 PROTECTION HISTORY.
2-1. When there is a history of protection function
due to excess current
Cause: An excessive current flowed through the power
amplifier.
Supplementary information: As current of the power
amplifier is detected, the abnormal channel can be
identified by checking the current detect transistor.
Turning on the power without correcting the abnormality
will cause the protection function to work immediately and
the power supply will instantly be shut off.
Notes)
• Applying the power to this unit without correcting
the abnormality can be dangerous and cause
additional circuit damage. To avoid this, if "PS"
and "DC" protection function works 3 times
consecutively, the power will not turn on even
when the " " (Power) key is pressed. In order to
turn on the power again, disconnect the power
cable of this unit from the AC outlet once and
then reconnect it again. In order to turn on the

• The output transistors in each amplifier channel
should be checked for damage before applying
power to this unit.

measuring DC voltage across the emitter resistors

2. プロテクションが働いて電源が切れた場合：
本機の FL ディスプレイにそのときに働いたプロテ
クションの情報が表示されます。数秒後、メインメ
ニュー 1 BYPASS のサブメニュー 1. ANALOG BYPAS
が表示されます。
注） このときに
ん電源を切った後にダイアグを再起動すると、
上述の「1. 通常の操作で電源を切った場合」に
相当するので、 NO PROTECT が表示されます。
ただし、プロテクションの履歴はメモリーに
バックアップして記憶されます。詳細は、メイ
ンメニュー 21 PROTECTION HISTORY を参照し
てください。
2-1. 過電流によるプロテクション履歴がある場合
I P R O T E C T
原因： パワーアンプに過電流が流れた。
補足： パワートランジスタの電流を検出していますので、
電流検出トランジスタをチェックすれば異常チャ
ンネルが特定できます。
異常状態のまま電源を入れると、瞬時にプロテクション
が働き、すぐに電源が切れます。
注意！
・ 異常状態のまま本機の電源を入れると、危険な状態
になり、さらに回路が損傷を受ける原因になります。
それを避けるために、プロテクションが連続して 3
回目働いた場合、それ以降
しても電源が入らなくなります。再度電源を入れる
場合、一度本機の電源コードを AC 電源コンセント
から抜いて接続し直してください。
・ 本機の電源をいれる前に、各パワーアンプの出力ト
ランジスタに損傷がないかチェックしてください。
・ パワーアンプの電流は、各チャンネルのエミッター
の抵抗器間 DC 電圧を測定することによりモニター
してください。
