Then, do the following:
If Phone Home was configured, reconfigure it.
If Phone Home was not configured, and the StoreAll SNMP agent is configured, reconfigure
the StoreAll SNMP agent.
If both Phone Home and the StoreAll SNMP agent are not configured, restart the snmpd
service:
service snmpd restart
A cluster node was not configured in Phone Home
If a cluster node was down during the Phone Home configuration, the log file includes the following
message:
SEVERE: Sent event server.status.down: Server <server name> down
After the node is up, rescan Phone Home to add the node to the configuration.
Configuring Phone Home could generate a large number of error messages
Configuring Phone Home enables the hp-snmp-agents service internally. As a result, a large number
of error messages, such as the following, could occasionally appear in the /var/log/
hp-snmp-agents/cma.log file:
Feb 08 13:05:54 x946s1 cmahostd[25579]: cmahostd: Can't update OS filesys
object: /ifs1 (PEER3023)
The cmahostd daemon is part of the hp-snmp-agents service. This error message occurs because
the file system exceeds <n> TB. If this occurs, you can disable logging by editing the script entitled
/opt/hp/hp-snmp-agents/server/etc/cmahostd and removing the -l <logname>
option on each server. Also, HP recommends that before you perform operations such as unmounting
a file system or stopping services on a node (using the ibrix_server command), you disable
the hp-snmp-agent service on each server first:
service hp-snmp-agents stop
After remounting the file system or restarting services on the node, restart the hp-snmp-agents service
on each server:
service hp-snmp-agents start
Fusion Manager IP is discovered as "Unknown" in HP SIM
Verify that the read community string entered in HP SIM matches the Phone Home read community
string.
Also, run snmpwalk on the VIF IP, and verify the information:
# snmpwalk -v 1 -c <read community string> <FM VIF IP> .1.3.6.1.4.1.18997
Unable to set a credential for a new HP StoreAll capacity block
The credentials management service (hpsp_credmgmt) will not allow adding a credential for a
new HP StoreAll capacity block after the credential database is created. The workaround is to
install the credentials manually.
To install the credentials manually:
1.
Enter the hpsp_couplet_info -i command to get a list of UUIDs for attached HP StoreAll
capacity blocks. Each enclosure is on a separate line, as shown in the following example of
the command and its output:
[root@ib25-02s1 security]# hpsp_couplet_info -i
