Comdial ® strives to design the features in our communications systems
to be fully interactive with one another. However, this is not always
possible, as the combinations of accessories and features are too varied
and extensive to insure total feature compatibility. Accordingly, some
features identified in this publication will not operate if some other
feature is activated.
Comdial ® disclaims all liability relating to feature non-compatibility or
associated in any way with problems which may be encountered by
incompatible features. Notwithstanding anything contained in this
publication to the contrary, Comdial makes no representation herein as
to the compatibility of features.
The iPrimo Internet Protocol (IP) speakerphone is a telephone that may be
connected to a remotely located FX or other digital communications
system via a local or wide area data network. As such, the iPrimo may not
be capable of directly accessing the local switched telephone network
serving the area in which it is physically located. Without direct access to
the local telephone network or some alternate special provisioning,
iPrimo users cannot dial 911 to contact local emergency services.
Comdial also provides a voice over IP networking capability in connection
with it's FX digital communications systems that enables calls to be
initiated on non-IP telephones yet be routed over a local or wide area data
network to a remote communications system. In this case, direct access to
the local switched telephone network serving the area from which the call
was initiated cannot be assured. Hence, as with the iPrimo IP telephone,
access to local 911 services cannot be guaranteed.
It is the responsibility of the party installing, and the party using any IP
based voice communications system, to ensure necessary and
appropriate access to emergency services. Comdial recommends
ensuring supplemental access to the local telephone network to ensure
access to 911 services. Accordingly, Comdial shall not be liable for any
direct or indirect damages of any kind resulting from misrouted or
otherwise uncompleted 911 calls when IP transport is involved.
