Making Calls

Dialling using the digit keys

You can carry out calls either through the receiver or using the handsfree function,
meaning telephoning without lifting the receiver. In the latter case, you hear the
caller through the integrated loudspeaker and talk through the integrated
microphone.
Lift the receiver. You hear a dialling tone. The talk time indicator appears showing
"00:00".

Dial the required phone number.
The dialled number appears in the display. If the phone number dialled is longer
than 16 digits, only the last 16 are displayed.
To end the call, replace the receiver. The duration of the call appears.
If you wish to replace the receiver and switch to handsfree mode during the call,
press the Handsfree button

Telephoning using the handsfree feature

. The red LED in the button lights up and the
display. You hear the dialling tone through the integrated loudspeaker.

Dial the required phone number.
The number dialled appears in the display. If the phone number dialled is longer
than 16 digits, only the last 16 digits are displayed.
When the other party takes your call, you hear their voice through the integrated
loudspeaker. When using the handsfree feature, always talk sufficiently loud and
clearly towards the telephone base.
The volume of the loudspeaker can be adjusted using the sliding switch
the right−hand side of the telephone.
If you want to switch from handsfree mode and use the receiver during the call,
simply pick up the receiver.
To end the call, press the Handsfree button
