Troubleshooting

Problem
The motor will not start.
The motor starts hard or loses power.
The mower or the motor vibrates excessively.
The cutting pattern in the lawn is uneven.
The discharge chute plugs up.
Possible Cause
1. The key is not in the plug receptacle.
2. The battery charge is low.
3. The circuit breaker is tripped.
1. The underside of the mower housing is
full of grass clippings and/or debris.
2. You are trying to start the mower in the
grass.
1. The blade is not balanced.
2. The blade mounting nut is loose.
3. The motor mounting nuts are loose.
1. The wheels are not set to the same
height.
2. The blade is dull and unbalanced.
3. You are repeatedly mowing in the same
pattern on the lawn.
4. The underside of the mower housing is
full of grass clippings and/or debris.
1. The cutting height is too low.
2. The grass is wet.
3. The underside of the mower housing is
full of grass clippings and/or debris.

Corrective Action
1. Insert the key in the plug receptacle.
2. Charge the battery.
3. Reset the circuit breaker.
1. Clean the underside of the mower
housing.
2. Move the mower onto the pavement; do
not start the mower in the grass.
1. Balance the blade.
2. Tighten the blade mounting nut.
3. Tighten the motor mounting nuts.
1. Set all 4 wheels to the same height.
2. Sharpen and balance the blade.
3. Change the mowing pattern˙.
4. Clean the underside of the mower
housing.
1. Raise the cutting height.
2. Allow the grass to dry before mowing the
lawn.
3. Clean the underside of the mower
housing.
