External HDMI Device with HDCP Connection
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is the first
all digital consumer electronics A/V interface that supports
uncompressed video and multi-channel audio in a single
digital interface. You can connect an EIA/CEA-861/861B
compliant consumer electronic device, such as a set top
box or DVD player with a HDMI or DVI output terminal
to the plasma display's HDMI input terminal. If the
external device has a DVI output only, use a DVI to HDMI
adapter cable to connect to the HDMI terminal.
1. Connect a HDMI cable from the HDMI output of the
external HDMI device to the MonitorLink/HDMI input
on the side of the plasma display.
2. Connect the L (left) and R (right) audio terminals from
the external device to AUDIO LEFT and AUDIO
RIGHT on a stereo receiver.
Note: When used as a HDMI/DVI Input, MonitorLink
input is compliant with HDCP and the EIA-861 standards
for standard, extended and high definition video. This input
is not intended for use with personal computers or devices
outputting video signals with computer resolution.
