Oil Pump with Higher Flow Rate
(special option)
Oil pumps with a slot (2) in the
adjusting screw: When the pump is
set to range "a", the oil tank may run
dry before the fuel tank and the
chain will not be lubricated.
:
When using range "a", either fill the
fuel tank to only half its normal
capacity or refill the oil tank when
the fuel tank is still about half full.

Turn the bar over –
every time you sharpen the chain
and every time you replace the
chain – this helps avoid one-sided
wear, especially at the nose and
underside of the bar.

Regularly clean
the oil inlet hole (1),
the oilway (2) and
the bar groove (3).
:
Measure groove depth –
with scale on filing gauge* – in area
used most for cutting.

Replace the guide bar.
The drive link tangs will otherwise

the cutters and tie straps will not ride on
