On steadily:
handset is charging in base
Flashing slowly:
handset or base speaker is in use or a call is on hold
Flashing quickly:
there is an incoming call

Hold

Press H to put a call on hold. The IN USE light flashes. To return to
the call, press K.
NOTE: When Hold is active, pressing P on handset will also return
you to the call

Mute

Press M to prevent your caller from hearing you (you can hear your caller).
Press again to deactivate. MUTE light is on when Mute is activated.
