1. All of the parts in the 7311 Model D20 I/O Subsystem can be replaced with the subsystem installed in
a rack. The power supplies, blowers, disk drives, and PCI adapters are hot-pluggable. Under normal
conditions, during the swapping of these FRUs, there is no need to shut down or unplug the system.
2. Before performing any of the removal or replacement procedures in this chapter, read the danger and
caution notices on "Safety Considerations" on page 41.
