8.3. Emptying the ch. system
1. Close the c.h. isolating valves.
2. Open the central heating drain cock (4.1
in Fig. 8.61).
8.4. Cleaning the primary heat
exchanger
Take off the front panel of the case, then the
sealed chamber lid and the front panel of the
combustion chamber.
If you notice dirt on the fins of the primary
heat exchanger (4.1 on page 22), cover the
sloping surfaces of the burner (4.1 on page
22) entirely in a protective layer (sheets of
newspaper or similar). Brush out the primary
heat exchanger (4.1 on page 22) with a
bristle paintbrush.
8.5. Checking the pressurisation in the
expansion vessel
Empty the central

check that the pressure in the expansion
vessel is not less than 1 bar.

If the pressure should be lower, take steps to
correct the pressure level.
8.6. Cleaning the burner
The sloping and multi-gas type burner (4.1 on
page 22) does not need special maintenance,
but it is sufficient to dust it with a bristle
paintbrush.
