9 Operator Selectable Tone

9.1

Overview

This function allows you to change the
Decode/Encode combination of the QT/DQT
Signalling without changing the transmit/receive
frequencies.
This function is used when there are several Talk
Groups using QT/DQT codes on the same frequency.
You can program up to 16 QT/DQT signalling pairs
using the OST table.
Press the [OST] key then use the Selector to choose
a new Decode/Encode combination for QT/DQT
Signalling.
The signalling operates with the newly selected
Encode/Decode combination.
9.2
Function Description

9.2.1 OST Name

This function allows you to store a name for the
Decode/Encode combinations of the QT/DQT
signalling used, on the OST table.
You can program up to 8 characters for the OST
Name using the following characters:
(space) # $ % ( ) * + , - / 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 = @ \ _ A
B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z
"TONE 1" - "TONE 16" appears when an OST Name
is not programmed.

9.2.2 QT/DQT Decode

This function allows you to program the QT/DQT for
reception.
You can program the QT/DQT Decode using the FPU
table.
QT:
67.0 - 254.1 Hz (Select from the table.)
67.0 - 254.1 Hz/ 0.1 Hz step (Enter the
value directly.)
DQT:
023N - 754N, 023I - 754I (Select from the
table.)
000N - 777N, 000I - 777I (Enter the value
directly.)

9.2.3 QT/DQT Encode

This function allows you to program the QT/DQT
code for transmission.
You can program the QT/DQT Decode using the FPU
table.
QT:
67.0 - 254.1 Hz (Select from the table.)
67.0 - 254.1 Hz/ 0.1 Hz step (Enter the
value directly.)
DQT:
023N - 754N, 023I - 754I (Select from the
table.)
000N - 777N, 000I - 777I (Enter the value
directly.)
