240 VOLT,
SINGLE P H A S E O P E R ATION
The motor supplied with your saw is a dual voltage,
120/240 volt motor. If it is desired to operate your saw at
240 volts, single phase, it is necessary to reconnect the
motor leads in the motor junction box by following the i n -
structions given on the motor nameplate. W ARNING: MAKE
S U R E M O TO R I S D I S C O N N E C T E D F R O M P O W E R
S O U R C E BEFORE RECONNECTING M O TO R LEADS.I t
is also necessary to replace the 120 volt plug, supplied
with the motor, with a UL/CSA Listed plug suita b l e f o r
240 volts and the rated current of the saw as illustrated
in Fig. 75. Conta c t y o u r l o c a l Authorized Delta Service
Center or qualified electrician for proper procedures to
i n s ta l l t h e p l u g . The saw must comply with all local and
national electrical codes after the 240 volt plug is
i n s ta l l e d .
The saw with a 240 volt plug should only be connected

O P E R ATING C O N T R O L S A N D ADJUSTMENTS

1 . The on/off switch is located underneath the switch shield (A) F i g . 7 6 . To turn the saw ON, move
switch trigger (B) to the up position.
2 . To turn the saw OFF, simply push down on switch shield (A) F i g . 7 7 .

LOCKING SWITCH IN
THE OFF POSITION
W e suggest that when the saw is not in use, the on/off
switch trigger (B) Fig. 78, be locked in the OFF position
using a padlock (C) through the two holes in the switch
plate, as shown.
