If there
is already
an other
device
linked
to the
host
via SCSI cable,
remove
the terminator
form
that
device.
If the
terminator
is internal
to that
device,
it is
recommended
that the connection of
Configuration
I
be used.
Plug
the
MALE side of the terminator
to scanner's
SCSI
signal
connector.
Plug
one
end
of the
SCSI
cable into the
FEMALE
side
of
the
terminator,
and the other
end of the
cable
to one
female
connector
of the previous
device
or
the
host.

one terminator
may
be attached
to each end of the
daisy
chain.
The
total
length
of
the daisy
chain
must
not
exceed
6
meters.
The vendor
suggests
that
the SCSI cable
be
two
or three
meters
in length
to allow
other
device
to
be
attached
to the SCSI bus.
Each
device
on the chain
will
be
assigned
a different
ID.
Devices
with
the same
SCSI ID will
cause
them
to
malfunction.
Please
refer
to
Section
3.1.1
for
selecting
the
scanner's
SCSI ID.
There
is no
restriction
on the
position
of
the
devices
on
the
daisy
chain.
