Maintenance

Pump maintenance (smaller models under 10hp only)
The smaller pump types are a sealed unit and do not require maintenance. Any attempts to service or alter the pump
may damage your pressure washer and void your product warranty.
Pump maintenance (10hp+ models only)
NOTE! For models fitted with the oil sight glass the oil should line up with the dot on the sight glass window (see
parts diagram).
WARNING! Using the wrong oil can damage your engine and void warranty.
Acceptable Oil Grade: 80W-90, SAE 90 or 85W-90 Gear Oil only.
WARNING! Do not overfill or tilt while filling.
NOTE! Your pressure washer pump IS shipped with oil; the smaller sealed pumps are not serviceable however
the larger 10hp+ machines are fitted with a larger serviceable pump which requires the oil level to be checked
prior to each use.
With the engine perfectly level:
1. Remove the small water pump "breather plug" on the top of the pump.
2. Fill with oil until the oil lines up with the dot on the sight glass window (see parts diagram).
4. Replace the "vent plug".
5. Clean up any excess oil around "vent plug".
Engine maintenance
Carry out maintenance tasks for the engine according to the specifications provided in the schedule provided below.
Checking the Air cleaner (refer to the service schedule)
Remove the knob, washer and air cleaner cover. Check the element for dirt or
obstruction. Clean the element if necessary.
1. Unscrew the wing nut, remove the air cleaner cover and remove the air
cleaner element.
2. 2. Remove the air cleaner and clean or replace.
3. (Refer to section "Cleaning the filter")
4. 3. Re-assemble in the reverse order.
Cleaning the Air Filter
1. Clean the filter element in warm soapy water, rinse or clean in non-flammable solvent and allow to dry
thoroughly.
2. Dip the filter element in clean engine oil and squeeze out all excess oil. The engine may smoke when started
if too much oil is left in the foam.
3. Wipe dirt from the air cleaner body and cover, using a moist rag. Be careful to prevent dirt from entering the
