TROUBLESHOOTING

If a problem should arise, first check the following.
1. Are the connections correct?
2. Have you operated the receiver according to the operating instructions?
3. Are the speakers and other components operating properly?
If this unit is not operating properly, check the items listed in the table below. Should the problem persist,
there may be a malfunction. Disconnect the power immediately and contact your store of purchase.
Symptom Cause
Power does not turn on • Mains cord's plug is not
when POWER plugged into wall outlet.

Symptom Cause
• A strong light source is
interfering with the CR601's
remote sensor.
Hissing noise is heard • Antenna cable is not properly

Hissing or buzzing • Noise from a TV or
sound is heard on AM interference in the signals sent

I hear a burbling sound • DAB like other digital media is
on some stations. good at producing quality
audio from a low level signal,
however if this signal, level is
too low a "burbling" sound can
sometimes be heard.
Reception is noisy, • You're too far away from the
intermittent, and the transmitter. Or, your FM
indicator antenna is in the wrong

station's signal strength is
poor.
The radio presets no • The power cord has not been

lights. Relocate if necessary.
• Connect the leads properly. 8
• Point the antenna in the right 8
direction.
• Install an outdoor antenna. 8
• Turn off the TV. 8
• Change the position of the 8
loop antenna.
• Install an outdoor antenna. 8
• Insert the plug in the opposite 9
direction.
• Install an outdoor antenna. 8
• Check that antenna is 8
connected.
• If a secondary service station is 21
available, " >" will be displayed
in the "Ensemble No. & Freq.".
• Use the CR601's "Tuning aid" 8
while repositioning your
antenna to get the maximum
signal strength and reduce this
noise.
• Switch the FM Mode to Mono. 15
• Adjust the position, height, and 8
direction of your FM antenna.
• Install an outdoor FM antenna, 8
preferably one with many
elements. Installing an out-
door antenna is a specialist's
job, so contact your nearest
dealer for advice.
• Preset your favourite radio 16
stations again. The power cord
must be plugged into a wall
outlet a few times each month
in order to preserve the presets.
