TALKING

To talk on a talkgroup, you must first ensure that you have selected the
correct talkgroup as your Home Talkgroup (displayed on bottom of
screen). Push the PTT Button and wait for the Talk Tone (three notes
ascending in rapid succession) before speaking. If you are granted the
floor and are allowed to talk, your handset displays TALKING and listeners
see LISTENING.
When you are the one talking to the talkgroup, TALKING is displayed on
the screen. The Device Name is displayed on the second line of the display.
The last line displays the name of the current talkgroup.
When TALKING is displayed, the PTT Button is held down and other keys
are disabled during use. The device cannot perform other functions until
the PTT Button is released.
