LISTENING

Your device displays LISTENING when the monitored talkgroup is active,
but you are not the one talking. On the second line of the display, below
LISTENING, the Device Name is displayed to all participants of the
talkgroup session. The third display line shows the talker's relative location
through distance and direction from the listener. If the location is not
known, Location Unknown is displayed on the third display line.
Note: The relative location is available only if Location Sharing is enabled
on the TALKING device.
The following navigation options are available when "LISTENING" is
displayed:
• PTT Button: sends a request for the floor and to speak on the talkgroup.
If the current speaker still holds the floor (e.g., the state is displayed as
LISTENING), a floor request Reject Tone (two notes descending in rapid
succession) is played and a message is displayed. The device remains in
the LISTENING status.
• Left soft key, labeled Menu: returns the device to the Menu
• Right soft key, labeled Ignore: exits the active talkgroup and enters the
IDLE Status
• 2-way Navi-Key: navigates to the Talkgroups List
• Volume Up/Down Keys: adjusts the device's volume
