Insert f asteners i ntomagazine. Position fasteners
atbottom of magazine w ithhead towards topof
tool.(See Figure 5)
Whentheswitchisrotated to rapid-fire mode, t he
toolcandrivefasteners c ontinuously. Afastener
willbefiredeachtimethecontact t ripis pressed
against t heworkpiece, aslongasthetriggeris
maintained i nthepulledposition.

Perform "Safety Mechanism Check" a s described
in theMaintenance section (SeePage7) priorto
firstuseoftoolandona dailybasisthereafter.
Thetoolis equipped witha rotating switch that
canbesettorapid-fire or single-fire mode (See
Figure 7). Whentheswitchis setto single-fire
mode, t hetoolwillnotdrivea second fastener
untilthetrigger i s fullyreleased andpulled again.

SINGLE-FIRE OPERATION:
Forsingle-fire o peration, pushintheround side
oftheredspring loaded triggerswitch, a ndrotate
theteardropshaped sidesothatit dropsintothe
switch recess facingtheonenailicon. T heairtool
is equipped w itha contact tripsafetymechanism
thatdisables t oolsunless contact t ripis pushed
against work. Todrivea fastener, holdtoolfirmly
andpresscontact t riponworkpiece w here fasten-
er isto beapplied.Pulltrigger t o drivefastener
intoworkpiece. T ofirea second fastener l iftthe
toolfromtheworkpiece, release thetrigger a nd
thenrepeat t heabove sequence.
RAPID-FIRE O PERATION:
Forrapid-fire operation, pushintheround sideof
theredspring loaded trigger s witch, a ndrotate
theteardropshaped sidesothatit dropsintothe
switchrecess facingthethreenailicon.Hold the
trigger d epressed a ndpushcontact t ripagainst
workpiece. Afastener w illbedriven eachtime
thecontact t ripis pushed against theworkpiece.
Thisoperating procedure p rovides r apid-fire fas-
tenerdriving.Never o perate toolunless contact
tripis incontact w ithworkpiece.
CAUTION: All airpower f astening toolsrecoil w hen
operated. Thisrecoil i s caused by rapid driving of
thefastener. Toolmaybounce fromrecoil c ausing
a second unwanted f astener t o bedriven.Reduce
toolbounce by holding toolfirmlyin handandpress-
ingtoolgentlyagainst w orkpiece. L etthetooldo
thework.Thiswillallowrecoil o ftoolto bounce tool
away fromworkpiece preventing t hedriving of second
fastener.
