TOOL-FREE D EPTH
ADJUSTMENT
The contact trip may be adjusted up or down to vary
the depth of the fastener in the workpiece.
To adjust,
rotate depth control wheel (See Figure 8) to raise or
lower contact trip to desired setting.

CLEARING A JAMMED FASTENER
WARNING: Disconnect tool from air supply before
attempting to clear jammed fasteners.
Depress the magazine cover release latch and
slide the magazine cover open. Remove any
remaining fasteners from the magazine. NOTICE:
Fasteners are under spring pressure and may
dislodge from magazine.
Grasp tool noseplate on both sides and pull
outward to disengage pin from latch. Then pull
upward to swing fastener guide plate away from
magazine (See Figure 11).
If necessary, use long nose pliers to remove the
jammed fastener.
Close fastener guide plate, hook pin into latch
and snap noseplate closed.
NO-MAR TIP
The tool is equipped with a no-mar tip that prevents
marring of finished surfaces by the contact trip during
normal operation. No-mar tip can be removed and
stored at the end of the reverse side of magazine
cover. Hex wrench is also stored on the belt hook.
(See figures 9 & 10)

OPERATING PRESSURE
Use only enough air pressure to perform the op-
eration. Air pressure in excess of that which is re-
quired will make the operation inefficient and may
cause premature wear or damage to the tool.
Determine minimum air pressure required by
driving some test fasteners into the workpiece.
Set air pressure so that test fasteners are driven
down flush with the work surface. Fasteners driv-
en too deep may damage workpiece.
COLD WEATHER OPERATION
CAUTION: Do not store in cold environment. Frost
or ice could form inside tool affecting operation and
damaging
tool. Use a cold temperature lubricant,
such as ethylene glycol, when operating tool in freez-
ing temperatures.
LUBRICATION
This is an oilless tool. No lubrication is necessary.
BELT HOOK REVERSAL
To reattach belt hook to other side of tool, use the
supplied hex wrench stored in belt hook.
1.
Insert hex wrench into hex screw on opposite
side of tool.
2.
Loosen and remove both screw and hook.
3.
Reverse sides of screw and hook and tighten
hook securely into place.
