Some applications may

When the CD-ROM drive or DVD-ROM drive is replaced after the CD-R/RW drive
has been inserted in the Multimedia Pocket, files inside the drive sometimes cannot
be accessed.
In this case, execute [Scan for hardware changes] using the following procedure.

Select [Device Manager] in [Control Panel] - [Performance and Maintenance] -
[System] - [Hardware].

Select the drive displayed under [DVD/CD-ROM drives] (e.g., MATSHITA****), then
select [Action] - [Uninstall] from the menu and select [OK].

Select [Action] - [Scan for hardware changes] from the menu.
(Microsoft Corp. has reported that the above noted problem occurs.)
Try testing another drive or media.
Do not shut down Windows during music playback.
If a USB device is connected, try removing it.
If a USB device is connected to the computer (note: only for some USB devices),
remove the USB device temporarily. If the problem persists, restart the computer.
If a peripheral device is connected to the computer, disconnect the device.
Did you press the power switch and hold it for four seconds or more?
If you press the power switch and hold it for four seconds or more, the power will be
turned off forcibly. In this case, all unsaved data will be lost.
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager and close the software
application which is not responding.
After shutting down by sliding the power switch for more than four seconds, slide
the power switch to power on and open the application again.
If the program no longer works normally, delete the program using the following
menu. Then reinstall the program.

When switching to a different user with the Fast User Switching function, the following
problems may occur.
• Some applications may not work properly (for example, PDF files may not be printed
properly).
• Key combinations with Fn may not work.
• It may not be possible to set the settings of the display.
• A serial mouse may not work.
If any of the above occur, log on with the administrator authority again, not using the
Fast User Switching function, and try the operation once more.
