Immobilizer Operation

This vehicle has a passive
theft-deterrent system.
The system does not have to be
manually armed or disarmed.
The vehicle is automatically
immobilized when the vehicle
is turned off.
The system is automatically
disarmed when the vehicle is
started with a valid RKE transmitter
in the vehicle. The RKE transmitter
uses electronic coding that matches
an immobilizer control unit in
the vehicle and automatically
disarms the system. Only a
correct transmitter can be
used to turn the vehicle on.
