Troubleshooting table

Problem
The display remains dark if I
switch on the Lucca.
The Lucca has no or only a very
poor GPS reception.
The Lucca has no or only a very
poor TMC reception.
The media player does not play
some or all media fi les on my SD
card.
The media player does not
smoothly play a video fi le on my
SD card.
The Lucca does not respond
when I touch the buttons.

Cause
The display may temporarily
loose its contrast after long and
heavy exposure to the sun and
high temperatures.
The battery is not suffi ciently
charged.
The Lucca has no GPS reception
for an extended period of time.
Heavily metal-evaporated wind-
shields may present an obsta-
cle to the GPS reception of the
Lucca.
The supplied TMC antenna is
not connected or incorrectly
aligned.
The TMC reception is currently
not available in all European
countries.
The media fi les on the SD card
are stored in the wrong fi le for-
mat.
The SD card was formatted us-
ing the wrong formatting mode.
The fi le uses a bitrate that is
not compatible with the media
player.
The operating system of the
Lucca is overloaded.
Solution
Place the Lucca in the shade for
approximately ten minutes and
switch the device on again.
Fully charge the battery. The
complete charging time is ap-
prox. 5 hours.
Press the Reset button and take
the Lucca outside so that it can
search for GPS signals again.
Connect a GPS antenna, which
is available as an option, to the
Lucca to improve the GPS re-
ception.
Connect the TMC antenna to the
Lucca or align the antenna dif-
ferently.
TMC is currently available in
Austria, Belgium, Czech Repub-
lic Denmark, Germany, England,
Finland, France, Italy, Nether-
lands, Norway, Spain, Sweden,
and Switzerland.
Transfer the media fi les in the
formats MP3 and WMA for mu-
sic, JPG and BMP for images
and WMV for videos to the SD
card.
Format the memory card in
the formatting mode FAT16 or
FAT32.
Use video fi les with a maximum
bitrate of 384 kbit per second.
Press the Reset button.
