Blocking the shaft

To block the shaft, insert a suitable
N
tool (1) through the holes (2) in the
deflector and thrust plate – turn the
thrust plate back and forth if
necessary.
Mounting the mowing head
Keep the instruction sheet for the
mowing head in a safe place.

Fit the spring (1) in the mowing
N
head (2).
Wind fresh line onto spool – see
N
chapter on "Replacing Nylon Line".
Assemble the mowing head – see
N
chapter on "Replacing Nylon Line".
The individual steps are described in the
instruction sheet supplied.

Slip the mowing head (2) over the
N
shaft (3) and engage hex recess (4)
on the external hexagon (5).
Fit the cap (6) on the mowing head
N
– screw it clockwise on to the shaft
as far as stop and tighten it down
firmly.
