COLORado™ 1-Quad Tour User Manual Rev. 4
You can link the COLORado™ 1-Quad Tour to a DMX controller using a standard DMX
serial connection. If using other DMX compatible products with the COLORado™ 1-Quad
Tour, you can control each individually with a single DMX controller.
The COLORado™ 1-Quad Tour uses the standard DMX data connection for the TOUR,
TR16, FULL, ARC.1, AR1.D, ARC.2, AR2.D, AR2.S, PIX1, PIX2, and HSV DMX
personalities.
Refer to the
Introduction
Refer to the
Operation
chapter to learn how to configure the COLORado™ 1-Quad Tour to
work in these personalities.
The
DMX Values
section provides detailed information regarding the DMX personalities.
The Master/Slave mode allows a COLORado™ 1-Quad Tour (the master) to control one or
more COLORado™ 1-Quad Tours (the slaves) without a DMX controller. One COLORado™
1-Quad Tour becomes the master when running an auto or custom program, or by being in
Static (STAT) mode.
You must configure each slave's control panel to operate in Slave (SLAV) mode. During
Master/Slave operation, the slaves will operate in unison with the master.
If you are not familiar with or need more information about DMX standards, Master/Slave
connectivity, or the DMX cables needed to link this product to a DMX controller, download
the DMX Primer from the Chauvet website www.chauvetprofessional.com.
DO NOT connect a DMX controller to products operating in Master/Slave mode. The
DMX controller signals may interfere with the signals from the master.
The
Operation
chapter of this manual provides detailed instructions on how to configure the
master and slaves.
