Where to Find This Information
CD-Writer Plus drive model
The CD-Writer Plus drive model number appears on the front of the CD-
Writer Plus drive, as well as on the box. Example: 8200 Series
Drive firmware version
Drive information, including firmware version, can be found by clicking
on Programs, HP CD-Writer Plus, Tools & Information, Utilities,
Diagnose. Click on CD-R/RW and Seelect Device. The firmware version
is listed in Device Info dialog box. Example: Firmware: 1.0
Drive serial number
For internal drives the CD-Writer Plus drive serial number appears on the
main label on the top of the drive. You may have written down this
number during the installation in the space provided on page 1-6. It also
appears on the underside of the CD tray.
Computer brand and model
The computer brand appears on the front of your computer and in the
documentation that came with your computer. Example: HP Pavilion
8190.
