SPIDER ALERI":
IMPORTANT: Always ensurethat the venturi burner tubes
are clean. A venturi burner tube hasa narrow area in
which spiders tend to build nests.
If you notice that your grill isgetting hard to light or that the
flameisn't as strong as it should be, take the time to check and
clean the venturi's.
Spiders or small insects have been known to create "flashback _'
problems. The spiders spin webs, build nests and lay eggs in the grill's
venturi tube(s) obstructing the flow of gas to the burner The
backe&up gas can ignite in the venturi behind the control panel This
is known as a flashback and it can damage your grill and even cause
injury.
To prevent flashbacks and ensure good performance the burner and
venturi assembly shoutd be removed from the gritl and cieaned
k_fore use whenever the gri!Jhas been idle for an extended perio
Storing Your Grill
•Clean cooking grates
• Store in dry Iocatiom
•When LPcylinder is connected to grill, store outdoors in a
welhventilated space and out of reach of chitdrem
•Cover grill if stored outdoors Choose from a variety of grill
covers offered by manufacturer once available
• Store grill indoors ONLY if LPcylinder is turned off and
Disconnected, remove from grill and stored outdoors
• When removing griii from storage, follow "Cleaning the Burner
Assembl_' instructionsbefore starting grill_
Cleaning
the Burner Assembly
Follow these instructionsto clean and/or replace parts of burner
assembly or if you have trouble igniting grill
1. Turngas off at control knobs and LPcylinder

Removecooking grates and heat diffusers
3
Removecotter pin from rear of burners

Carefully lift each burner up and away from valve openings.
We s,,_ggest three ways to clean the burner tubes Use the one
easiest for you
(A} Bend a stiff wire (a light weight coat hanger works well}
into a small hook Runthe hook through each burner
tube several times
(B) Use a narrow bottle brushwith a flexible handle (do not use
a brass wire brush}, run the brushthrough each burner tube
several times
(C) Wear eye protection: Use an air hose to force air into
the burner tube and out the burner ports Check each
port to make sureair comes out each hole

Wire brushentire outer surface of burner to remove
food residue and dirt

Clean any blocked ports with a stiff wire such as an
open paper clip.

Check burner for damage, due to normal wear and
corrosion some holes may become enlarged If any large
cracks or holes are found replace burner
VERYIMPORTANT: Burner tubes must reengage valve
openings. See illustrations below.

Carefully replace burners

Attach burnersto brackets with cotter pin

Replace heat diffusers and cooking grates
