iPOS 3100 Product Reference Guide

iPOS 3100 Setup Menu

Use the Setup Menu to configure settings on the iPOS 3100. Upon power-up, touch the
screen to display the Setup Menu as the message requests, or do not touch the screen to
select the default settings or previously selected configuration settings.
Submenu
Sound
Toggle sound on and off. When on, sound emits when PIN
numbers are pressed and the MSR is swiped.
Brightness
Use the slider to adjust LCD brightness.
Host
RS-232 Configuration: Select baud rate or Port A, or select
Port B (auxiliary port). Tap Accept or Cancel to return to
the Setup Menu.
RS-485 Configuration: Select RS-485 address, or select
RS-232 (auxiliary port). Tap Accept or Cancel to return to
the Setup Menu.
Note: If changing the RS-485 address, exit the Setup
Menu, turn the iPOS 3100 off, then back on to execute the
change.
Time
Adjust the analog clock by increasing or decreasing the
hours and minutes. To set seconds to zero, tap the zero
button, then Done.
Lock
Enter a password to prevent other users from changing the
setup. This password is required to make future setup
changes.
Calib
Tap the center of the four crosses to calibrate the touchpad.
The Setup Menu re-appears when finished.
Cancel
Deletes the values selected on the Setup Menu and exits
setup.
Reset
Resets the iPOS 3100 to its default values.
Test
Invokes the Test Menu (see
Load
Downloads new firmware. The iPOS 3100 autoconfigures
to RS-232 or RS-485 to load the firmware using the
connected cable (see the Host option above).
