HP ROM-Based Setup Utility

RBSU is a configuration utility embedded in ProLiant servers that performs a wide range of configuration
activities that can include the following:
•
Configuring system devices and installed options
•
Enabling and disabling system features
•
Displaying system information
•
Selecting the primary boot controller
•
Configuring memory
•
Language selection

Using RBSU
To u e RBSU, use the following keys: s
•
To access RBSU, press the F9 key during power-up
•
To navigate the menu system, use the arr
•
To make selections, press the Enter key.
•
To ccess Help for a highlighted configuration option, press the F1 key. a

Default configuration settings are applied to the server at one of the following times:

Default configuration settings are sufficient for proper typical server operation, but configuration set

Auto-co nfiguration process
The auto-configuration process automatically runs when you boot the server for the first time. During the
power-up sequence, the system ROM automatically configures the entire system without needing any
intervention. During this process, the ORCA utility, in most cases, autom
defa lt se u tting based on the number of drives connected to the server.
